GDPR is a Europe-wide regulation covering data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union. The practice has published its Privacy Notice which allows patients to see how the practice looks after the medical information we have about our patients.

The health system in East London is necessarily complex in order for us to provide the full range of services and treatments for our patients. In this area, patient data is often shared across the Health Information Exchange (HIE)/East London Patient Record. This enables information to be exchanged between local health and social care organisations. The Health Information Exchange is also constructing a data depository called Discovery which will be used by these organisations for the evaluation of present local services and the strategic planning of future ones
