HIV Services and Support

We are committed to providing inclusive, confidential, and stigma‑free HIV services for our patients and staff.

HIV Testing

We offer HIV testing to:

  • Patients who are eligible for an NHS Health Check
  • Anyone who requests an HIV test

Testing is provided in a supportive, non‑judgemental environment, and confidentiality is always maintained.

HIV Confident

We proudly support the HIV Confident initiative, which aims to challenge stigma and discrimination and promote understanding of HIV in healthcare settings. We will share links to public‑facing resources from the HIV Confident website to help patients and staff access reliable information and support.

HIV Awareness

All staff actively participate in promoting HIV awareness, including recognising World AIDS Day, to help reduce stigma and encourage open and informed conversations about HIV.

HIV Confident Champion

Our HIV Confident Champion is:

Jennifer Osei‑Adjei

Jennifer is available to offer a supportive and confidential listening ear and can guide patients or employees to the most appropriate reporting or support route if they experience or witness HIV‑related stigma or discrimination.

Use of Accurx Scribe – Supporting Accurate and Efficient Clinical Documentation

Data Protection and Privacy

Accurx Scribe complies with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 requirements.

  • Your information remains confidential and is only used for direct care purposes.
  • All data processed by Accurx is encrypted and stored securely within the NHS network.
  • The system does not use or retain any data beyond what is necessary for your medical record.

NEW PRACTICE ANNOUNCEMENTS!

Latimer Health Centre is delighted to announce that Dr. Hayley Sherratt will be joining us as a Partner starting in January 2025. In addition to her role as a GP, Dr. Sherratt is a qualified GP Trainer, which means from February 2025 we will be a training practice for GP Registrars. These are fully qualified, experienced doctors who are gaining further expertise in General Practice. GP Registrars typically have longer appointment times and are supervised by the Partners.

As part of our commitment to continuous professional development, some doctors may occasionally video their consultations. We will always seek your consent beforehand, and you have the option to decline if you prefer.

We are also thrilled to share that another of our brilliant GP Partners, Dr. Reshma Shah, is now fully qualified in Minor Surgery and is offering this service at the practice. If you have any concerns about lumps or bumps, please feel free to book a consultation with her.

Finally, we now have an Instagram page for all our latest updates! Follow us at @latimerhealthcentre.
